The Northern Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association hosts its own events including networking meetings, planning meetings, educational presentations, fundraising events, board meetings, and more. The Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association also offers countless trainings and events for its’ members. These state wide offerings bring in speakers and experts from across the country to share their expertise. 

The National Association of Landscape Professionals offers trainings and certifications as well to its’ members. While these events typically require a significant investment, they are worth exploring.

Great Lakes, Great Plants Symposium

Join The Botanic Garden for Northern Michigan's premier two-day horticultural event and fundraiser. 

July 25 & 26, 2024  •  Traverse City, MI 

The Great Lakes, Great Plants Symposium is a two-day event for horticulture professionals and enthusiasts alike. A full day of lectures, rare plant auction, and exclusive tours of the natural and cultivated beauty of Northwest Michigan. Programming for 2024 focuses on coastal resiliency, gravel gardens, and intentional design. The event is sponsored by the Northern Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association and hosted by The Botanic Gardens at Historic Barns Park in Traverse City.
